Stack Racks

Why are EFCO Stack Racks a good investment?

  • UTILIZE VALUABLE "AIR SPACE" - Stack Racks may be loaded and stacked to almost any practical height with rigidity and safety. The value of high-cost building construction can be figured in cubic footage instead of square footage

  • LOW MAINTENANCE COST - With the exception of the deck boards, Stack Racks are all-steel welded units. This construction, plus top-quality materials and workmanship, practically eliminates pallet maintenance costs

  • REDUCE PRODUCT DAMAGE - Each Stack Rack is supported by the one below instead of by the product, thereby eliminating damage due to crushing

  • REDUCE PRODUCTION AND HANDLING COSTS THROUGH SHORTER HAULS - By stacking with Stack Racks, materials can be placed closer to production lines both for inventory storage and for actual production

  • VERSATILITY - Ordinary pallets can only give selectivity when used with pallet storage racks. With Stack Racks, products may be removed from any pallet without disturbing or removing the loads above. With Stack Racks, storage areas can be rearranged or moved quickly and at very low cost

Prior to Purchasing

When designing Stack Racks, be sure to consider all elements of your inventory. If possible, include plans for future needs to be able to quickly address inventory mix changes.

Once equipped with your load specs, determine the load distribution (how it will sit on the rack). This step is crucial to ensure adequate configuration for safe handling.

Load specs required for Stack Rack designs:

  • Load dimensions and weights

  • Type of load (palletized, single item, etc.)

  • Quantity (load volumes)

  • Load distribution (how the load weight is distributed within the rack)

The weight of your inventory load should be distributed evenly across the racks. Non-standard pallets, bulk containers, crates, and unbalanced or shifting content can cause weight distribution concerns. Be sure to understand safe remedies for storage in your Stack Racks.
